Oromo Struggle : Its Challenges and Opportunities

Jawar Siraj Mohammed, a Minnesta based political analyst, democracy activist, and student of nonviolent conflict talked exclusively with members of the Oromo community in Washington D.C about the Oromo Struggle : Its Challenges and Opportunities.

The event was held on May 8, 2011 to mark the annual Oromo Martrys Day. On the occasion, veteran leaders of the struggle as well as represntatives of various Oromo organizations spoke. All affirmed, the only way forward is by unifying the Oromo mass and consolidating the gains made thus far – a point also echoed in this press release from the organizers.
