Eritrean migrants in Israel denounce deportations

A week after the deportation of about 14 Eritrean nationals from Israel, Eritrean migrants in the country staged a protest against what they say is forced repatriation. In a letter addressed to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the migrants appealed for the end of deportations.

Jerusalem Post’s Ben Hartman cited,

“It’s important to us to emphasize that we didn’t come here in order to bother Israelis or destroy their homes. We didn’t come here to look for work or money. In every place on earth they recognize the fact that people who flee Eritrea need protection until the regime changes and they can return home,” the letter read.
